I suppose if a person was looking for answers and wanted to get them from the perspective of someone else's viewpoint this book could at least give a different viewpoint to ponder.I got this book as I'm a cruising sailor and thought it was about someone's experiences cruising in "paradise".Instead this author pointedly infuses his philosophical physiological opinion about life (which I mostly disagree with) and that's not why I bought the book.If I was looking for answers to "what is freedom" I might be interested in his viewpoint even though I disagree with most of what I read because at least one gets another viewpoint from which I could strengthen my conviction about what freedom is.However, Stuck in paradise is not what I was looking for in a cruising/sailing book. If you want psychological opinion without impirical technology that is proven to work - go for it.
