Very well written and beautiful prose.The plot was rather silly though.The idea of less than high schoolEducation people living in the hill being enthralled with Plato and the classics, hunting a turkey in a Santa suit, living for fly fishing your whole life, etc. was stretching what could be believed.Also, conservative religion was used as a foil to express humanistic beliefs.II was not sure how the main character dodged the draft during the Vietnam era.Some beautiful non- dualistic beliefs but a lot of silly filler to make the story flow.
